National Postal Mail Handlers Union
The National Postal Mail Handlers Union (NPMHU) is a labor union that represents 50,000 mail handlers in postal facilities across the country. The purpose of the union is to negotiate an agreement with the U.S. Postal Service outlining wages, pay increases, working conditions and benefits for its members. The NPMHU also protects its members by representing them in everyday work problems, such as discrimination and workplace safety.
The NPMHU is affiliated with several other organizations including the AFL-CIO, the Postal Employees Relief Fund, and the Laborers’ International Union of North America. All of these organizations aim to protect the rights of mail handlers.
